Posters

CHIMIT `11 solicits submissions in the following categories: papers, posters, and presentations of recently published papers.

Deadline: September 8, 2011, 11:59 Pacific Time
Anonymization: Authors must not be anonymized.
Length: 2 pages in total, including everything.
Formatting: Use CHIMIT MS Word or LaTeX templates
Submission site: https://conferences.ece.ubc.ca/chimit11/other/

For the information about submitting papers, see the CFP.
We seek poster abstracts describing recent or ongoing research or experience in all areas of IT management. See CHIMIT topics for the suggested scope of submissions. Submissions should use the CHIMIT poster template [MS Word] [LaTeX] and be at most two pages including bibliography. Please prepend the word “Poster:” to your poster title (for example, “Poster: On the Management of infinitely large IT infrastructures”).  Submissions should not be blinded. Accepted poster abstracts will be made available on the symposium web site.
CHIMIT will include a poster session in which authors will exhibit their posters. Note, poster abstracts should be formatted like 2-page technical papers, not like posters.
We will include poster abstracts on the CHIMIT web site. However, poster authors also need to prepare an actual poster for the CHIMIT poster session. We will provide easels, a 36′ H x 24′W  poster board, and thumb tacks. Your poster should NOT be a print-out of your poster abstract or paper. Please use large fonts, brief text, graphs, and figures to provide an overview of your work. You are welcome to bring a laptop or other equipment for demos. If you will need a table for your demo and/or a power outlet, please let the general chairs know in advance.
We also welcome authors of recent papers (2010 to 2011) on IT management to present your work as a poster. In this case, please submit in a plain text file (1) the title and abstract of your conference paper, (2) full bibliographical citation, and (3) a link to the published (official) version, instead of the regular poster abstract. If you would like to give an actual presentation to CHIMIT attendees of your previously published work, please see instructions below for submitting proposals for “Presentations of Recently Published Papers.”
Submit your poster proposal using the electronic submissions page: https://conferences.ece.ubc.ca/chimit11/other/
Submissions will close on September 8th and the authors will be notified by September 16th.
Please direct any questions or comments about poster submissions to the Technical Program Co-Chairs.
