We are inviting presentations on the work that is relevant to the CHIMIT mission and topics, but has appeared recently (2010 to 2011) in other venues. The goal is to give the CHIMIT attendees a broader view of the research in the areas related to the human and technical sides of managing the complexity of contemporary IT systems and to showcase the important developments of the recent years.
The presentation can be based either on a single or a series of published papers. It will be allotted 15-20 minutes of presentation time at the conference.
Each submission for a Published Work presentation should include
(1) a full bibliographic reference,
(2) the abstract,
(3) a URL for each of the papers on which the presentation will be based.
If the presentation is based on more than one paper:
(4) a brief (up to 300 words) abstract of the whole presentation should be included.
(5) The submission may also include a brief (up to 100-words) statement on why this work is relevant to CHIMIT.
Acceptance decisions will be based on the significance and relevance of the work to the CHIMIT community.
Submit your proposal for a presentation of a recently published paper using the electronic submissions page: https://conferences.ece.ubc.ca/chimit11/other/
Submissions will close at 11:59pm, US Pacific time, September 8th and the authors will be notified by September 16th.
